Mediteanox™ is a natural extract, produced by Spanish company Euromed through patented technology based on ultrapure water, from olive tree (Olea europaea L.) fruits. It is a polyphenols-rich ingredient, particularly fenolic acid hydroxytyrosol which is a well-known and potent antioxidant molecule. EFSA recognized for hydroxytyrosol the property to protect lipoproteins from lipidic peroxidation, ac factor which is able to initiate the events that cause endothelial dysfunction and cardiovascular disease.
